学校概况
肯特州立大学，简称KSU，成立于1910年，是俄亥俄州第二大公立大学。位于俄亥俄州东北部，是美国一所知名的义研究为导向的大学，开设的课程种类十分丰富，大学设有271个本科、硕士和博士专业，现有34000名学生。海外学生比例为1%，师生比例为1：19。大学有8个校区，是美国最大的校园系统之一，各个校区都为学生提供了良好的学习气氛和便利的生活环境。
肯特州立大学现设有8个院系：文学和科学学院、建筑和环境学院、商学院、传媒和信息学院、教育、卫生和社会服务学院、艺术学院、护理学院、技术学院等等。距离克里富兰市约一小时车程，美国钢铁工业中心匹兹堡两个小时车程。
大学的建筑系特别出色，一般入学标准是SAT的1050分，而其他学系大概900分已可入读，另一项颇为突出的学科是时装设计及选购，慕名前来选读的外州生特别多。新闻系也很有名，镇内的两个电台和一个有线电视台，都由该学系学生播放及管理。其他优秀的学科，还有听觉学、护理学、美术、语言矫正学、地质学、太空科技、化学和物理。肯特大学还是液晶电视技术的发源地。
本科入学 GPA： 2.5 ， TOEFL要求： 77 ，有ESL课程，
研究生入学 GPA： 2.75 ，TOEFL要求： 71 ，GRE： 需要 GMAT： 需要 （根据系要求）
All applicants must obtain a minimum TOEFL score of 525 (a score of 197 on the computerized version of TOEFL) or a minimum MELAB score of 77, with the following exceptions:

Applicants to Chemistry must present a TOEFL score of 575.

Graduate School of Management.
The School of Library and Information Science requires a TOEFL score of 600 or a MELAB score of 88 for regular admission; those applicants presenting TOEFL scores of 550-599 or MELAB scores of 80-87 can be considered for conditional admission
